Cultivate Food Rescue

Our Story

Cultivate Food Rescue is dedicated to ending the cycle of hunger in northern Indiana. Since its inception in 2016, the organization has focused on reducing food waste by recovering excess, quality food and redistributing it to school children, food pantries, shelters, and more. In just five years, Cultivate has rescued an impressive 1.43 million pounds of food, with a goal to expand to 20 million pounds in the next decade.

Impact

Each year, Cultivate rescues over one million pounds of food, cooking, packaging, and freezing it to feed those in need. This effort not only prevents food waste but also addresses food insecurity in the community.
