Early Childhood Education and Care

Our Story

Founded in 1969 by the women of the Second Presbyterian Church in the Kendall Whittier district, Crosstown Learning Center was established to provide high-quality childcare for working families. The center was named after the Crosstown Expressway (I-244) and arose from a community need following a tragic incident in home daycare. Over the years, Crosstown has evolved, focusing on delivering exceptional education alongside excellent care.

Milestones of Impact

In 2001, Crosstown became the first childcare center in north Tulsa to earn national accreditation through the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAEYC). This significant achievement marked a new chapter in its commitment to quality education. Following its independence as a nonprofit organization in 2000, Crosstown raised an impressive $7.5 million to construct a new facility tailored for safety and learning, officially moving into its new home on November 15, 2016.
