Our Story
Founded in 1983 by dedicated volunteers at First United Methodist Church in Dallas, Crossroads Community Services began as a small food pantry providing lunches and gently used clothing to individuals experiencing homelessness. Over the years, it has evolved into a significant food assistance provider, distributing over 28.5 million pounds of food and pioneering innovative distribution models recognized by the North Texas Food Bank.
Our Impact
In 2023 alone, Crossroads distributed approximately 12.5 million pounds of food, equating to over 10 million meals for an average of 1,100 households each month, addressing the urgent need for nutritious food.
