Our Story

Crittenton Youth Services, founded in 1918 by Mr. and Mrs. Horace Turner, has evolved to meet the needs of the community. Originally established as a residential home for single, pregnant teens, the organization now focuses on educational outreach and youth empowerment. In 1991, a merger with the Mobile Area Teen Resource Center strengthened its mission to help teens navigate their sexuality and make informed choices.

Our Impact

Through various programs, Crittenton Youth Services enhances the emotional and social skills of youth, fostering resilience and success. The Ambassador Program, a cornerstone initiative for over 15 years, trains high school students to mentor younger peers, promoting community engagement and leadership development.
