Our Story

The Crisis Center of Anderson and Cherokee Counties was founded in 1989 by dedicated members of the Jacksonville Service League. Initially established as a women's shelter, the organization has evolved to provide comprehensive support for men, women, and children affected by family violence and sexual assault. With two safehouses, a Children's Advocacy Center, and community outreach programs, the center serves as a beacon of hope in both Anderson and Cherokee Counties.
