Our Story

In 1977, a tragic incident on the campus of Columbia University sparked a community response that led to the establishment of the Crime Victims Treatment Center. Following a violent crime, a young survivor was left without the necessary psychological support, prompting local advocates to create a dedicated program to ensure no one would face such neglect again. This initiative has since evolved into a vital resource for survivors of interpersonal violence, offering compassionate care and advocacy.
