Crescendo Phoenixville

Our Story

Crescendo Phoenixville was founded in 2018 with a mission to make the joy of music accessible to all children. This nonprofit organization believes that every child deserves the opportunity to learn and perform music. Each participant receives tuition-free, year-round instruction, a free violin, and frequent performance opportunities. In its inaugural year, Crescendo Phoenixville welcomed 18 students from 2nd to 5th grade, meeting four days a week to learn the violin together. Since then, the program has grown, with 24 to 28 students enrolling annually, and approximately 75% of them continuing their musical journey for two or more years.

Impact

In the 2023/2024 school year, Crescendo Phoenixville celebrated remarkable achievements, including the graduation of two 5th graders, the creation of a silent film by 15 students, and 26 students participating in the after-school program. These young musicians showcased their talents at 9 public events, including 3 full Crescendo concerts.
