Founded in 1983 in the Mission District of San Francisco by artist Florence Katz and psychologist Elias Katz, Creativity Explored emerged from a movement to redefine artistry for disabled individuals. This initiative has inspired the creation of three significant Bay Area organizations, including Creative Growth and NIAD.
