Founded in 1974, Creative Arts Team (CAT) harnesses the power of theatre and interactive drama to address pressing social and academic issues. With a commitment to fostering creativity and critical engagement, CAT reaches over 10,000 participants annually, including students from pre-K through college, parents, educators, and professionals. Through improvisation, drama games, and scene building, participants are empowered to recognize their potential and develop problem-solving strategies.

Impacting Communities

CAT's innovative programs create safe spaces for open dialogue, bridging the gap in arts access for marginalized communities. By facilitating over 2,600 sessions in FY21 alone, CAT has significantly improved educational, social, and emotional outcomes for participants. The organization’s work in Applied Theatre promotes social development and challenges barriers related to race, culture, and identity.
