Our Story
Founded in 1996, the C.A.R.E. Foundation is dedicated to providing a permanent home for non-releasable exotic and wild animals. The journey began with the rescue of Lilly, an abandoned raccoon, and Kesha, a 65-pound cougar with severe behavioral issues. Today, the foundation cares for over 200 animals, focusing on their physical and mental well-being while engaging in educational programs in schools and libraries.
