Our Story

Pillar Care Continuum, originally founded in 1953 as the Cerebral Palsy Council, has evolved significantly over the decades. Established by dedicated parents seeking better services for their children with cerebral palsy, the organization began its journey in the basement of Orange Memorial Hospital. In 1962, it became the Cerebral Palsy Rehabilitation Network and later affiliated with United Cerebral Palsy in 1964. As the organization expanded its mission to serve individuals with a broader range of disabilities, it rebranded to Cerebral Palsy of North Jersey in 1992. In 2019, reflecting its commitment to inclusivity, the organization adopted the name Pillar Care Continuum, serving over 1,700 individuals with more than 100 different disabilities each year.

Impact

Pillar Care Continuum enhances the lives of individuals with disabilities, promoting independence and community participation.
