About CPATH

The birth of a child is a transformative experience, filled with love and joy. However, for parents of children diagnosed with cerebral palsy, this journey is often accompanied by unique challenges. From navigating ongoing medical appointments to managing escalating medical bills, the path can be daunting. Recognizing this need, CPATH (Cerebral Palsy Awareness Transition Hope) was founded in Central Texas to provide essential support and resources for families facing these challenges.

Our Story

CPATH was born from the shared experiences of a group of mothers who met in a physical therapy waiting room. What began as playdates for children with cerebral palsy quickly evolved into a mission to create a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families in similar situations. Officially established as a 501(c)(3) in July 2014, CPATH has since become a beacon of hope and assistance for the cerebral palsy community.

Impact

Since its inception, CPATH has made a significant impact, providing over 100 grants totaling more than $50,000 and distributing over 2,000 pieces of medical equipment valued at over $2.8 million. Additionally, CPATH has hosted over 420 campers since 2016, creating lasting memories and connections for families.
