Our Story
Founded in September 1977, Covington Theological Seminary began its journey in Florida as a non-profit organization dedicated to providing Religious and Theological Education. In 1980, the seminary relocated to Georgia and established the Covington Bible Institute in 1981, ensuring that Bible education is accessible to all, regardless of their educational background. Named after Brig. General Leonard Covington, the seminary has grown under various leaderships, focusing on equipping leaders for effective ministry.
