Our Story

Founded in 1883 as The Richmond Home for Ladies, Covenant Woods has transformed into a vibrant Life Plan Community. Located on a beautiful 90-acre campus in Mechanicsville, Virginia, it now serves over 350 residents, offering independent living, assisted living, memory support, and skilled nursing care. In 2001, the organization expanded to welcome both men and women, and in 2020, it received its third consecutive five-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), a prestigious recognition that highlights its commitment to quality care.
