Founded in 1895 by a Jewish immigrant, Covenant Mercy Mission is one of the oldest gospel missions in New York City. Originally serving the needs of Jewish immigrants on the Lower East Side, the mission has evolved to support individuals from diverse backgrounds across Manhattan, sharing God’s love and Word with the poor and needy.
Every week, Covenant Mercy Mission distributes food through our pantry six times, serving hundreds of families. Many clients not only benefit from our services but also share their resources with others in need, creating a ripple effect of generosity. Nearly 80% of those we serve report sharing with others, amplifying our impact in the community.
