Advocacy For Abused And Neglected Children
Providing Safe And Permanent Homes

Our Story

In 1977, a visionary juvenile court judge in Seattle recognized the need for informed advocacy in the lives of abused and neglected children. This led to the establishment of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, which has since expanded to nearly 1,000 programs across the United States. In 2008, the Advocacy Alliance launched the Lackawanna County CASA Program, dedicated to ensuring that every child in foster care has a voice.

Impact

Children with a CASA volunteer are significantly less likely to remain in the foster care system and are more likely to find a safe, loving home.

Why Donate?

Your contribution can transform a child's life. For just $1,000, you can cover the costs of recruiting, training, and supervising a CASA volunteer for an entire year. This is a small price to pay for the chance to make a lasting impact.
