Countryside Conservancy, established in 1994, is a dedicated land trust focused on preserving the unique landscapes of northeastern Pennsylvania. With a commitment to protecting the Tunkhannock Creek watershed, the organization collaborates with landowners and utilizes both public and private funding to safeguard vital greenspaces.
To date, Countryside Conservancy has permanently protected nearly 2,000 acres of land and water, providing open spaces for public education and recreation. The organization has also transformed over 5 miles of the former Northern Electric Trolley right-of-way into a scenic, non-motorized recreational trail.
