Our Story
Founded in 1999 in response to the Columbine tragedy, the Council on At-Risk Youth (CARY) was established to enhance school safety and combat the school-to-prison pipeline.
Impacting Lives
CARY serves over 1,900 students across 19 middle and high schools in Central Texas, focusing on those facing trauma, poverty, and discrimination. With a 75% diversion rate from juvenile justice, CARY empowers students to thrive.
