Our Story

The Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR) is dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals with physical and mental disabilities. Established under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, CSAVR comprises chief administrators from public rehabilitation agencies across the United States, including the District of Columbia and territories. The Council's mission is to empower individuals with disabilities to achieve employment, economic self-sufficiency, independence, and integration into their communities.

CSAVR members supervise the rehabilitation of approximately 1.2 million persons with disabilities, advocating for effective vocational rehabilitation services and conducting research to improve these services.
