Originating from the Douglas County Association for Retarded Citizens, the organization has evolved significantly, becoming the Community Developmental Disabilities Organization for Douglas and Jefferson counties in 1995. This pivotal role allows Cottonwood to serve as a vital access point for individuals seeking support and services.
