About the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1945 by Rabbi Sidney Wolf, the Corpus Christi Symphony Orchestra has a rich history of promoting music and cultural integration. The inaugural performance took place on a chilly December night, captivating an audience of 800. Since its incorporation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 1980, the CCSO has dedicated itself to delivering exceptional musical experiences and educational opportunities throughout the Coastal Bend region.

Impact on the Community

Each year, the CCSO reaches approximately 20,000 children through free Education Concerts and the innovative CCSO on the Go! program, which brings the joy of music directly into classrooms.
