Corning Community Food Pantry
EIN: 45-0916332 · Corning, NY
Our Story
In 1973, Father Davis, the pastor of St. Patrick’s Church, recognized a growing need for food assistance in the community. Initially, he and his housekeeper provided food bags to those in need. As demand increased, dedicated women from the parish stepped in to organize a pantry distribution, leading to the establishment of the Corning Community Food Pantry. Over the years, this non-denominational agency has expanded and now operates from its fourth location, continuing to serve the community with compassion.
Our Impact
Each year, the Corning Community Food Pantry distributes approximately 140 tons of food to thousands of individuals and families. More than just groceries, the pantry offers a welcoming environment where visitors are treated with dignity and respect, ensuring they leave with the nourishment they need.
