Our Story

Cornerstone Community Outreach (CCO) was founded in 1989 to enhance the quality of life for individuals experiencing homelessness in the Uptown area of Chicago. Over the years, CCO has expanded its programs to serve nearly 500 men, women, and children daily, offering shelter and support to families and individuals at risk of exclusion from essential services.

Impact

CCO has assisted thousands of single mothers in finding housing, jobs, and education, while providing over 274,000 pounds of food annually to residents and neighbors in need. As one of the largest shelters in Chicago, CCO ensures access to housing and food for people from all walks of life.
