Our Story

In 2022, the affordable housing task force convened by the Mayor of Cornelius, NC, concluded its two-year mission to develop the Cornelius Affordable Housing Plan. This initiative led to the formation of the Cornelius Community Development Corporation, now known as Lake Norman CDC, in July 2022. With the support of compassionate leaders and the Town of Cornelius, the organization was established to address the critical need for affordable housing. In 2023, the vision expanded to create thriving communities where individuals can live where they work throughout the Lake Norman area.

Lake Norman CDC is dedicated to helping families of moderate income attain housing solutions, providing a bridge to financial stability and improving work-life balance for those who serve the community.
