Cooking in Central

Our Story

Cooking in Central, Inc. was founded in 2006 by dedicated citizens of the City of Central, inspired to support their neighbors in South Louisiana after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina. The inaugural cooking event successfully raised funds to purchase three school buses for the St. Bernard Parish School System. Recognizing the potential to make a difference, Cooking in Central, Inc. was officially established in 2007 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, run entirely by passionate volunteers committed to helping others.
