Our Story

The Continental Divide Trail Coalition (CDTC) was founded in 2012 by a dedicated group of volunteers and outdoor enthusiasts. This national non-profit organization collaborates with the US Forest Service, National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management to complete, promote, and protect the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail (CDT). By fostering a strong community of supporters, CDTC ensures the trail remains a cherished resource for generations to come.

Our Impact

CDTC advocates for the CDT by securing essential funding and resources, preserving the trail experience, and engaging local communities. Through volunteer efforts and public outreach, the organization provides high-quality trail data and information, making the CDT accessible to all.
