Our Story

The Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Association of New York State (CDPAANYS) began as a grassroots effort in 1997, following a legislative victory that established the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) in New York. Formalized in 2000, CDPAANYS has retained its grassroots heritage, advocating for individuals with disabilities and their right to self-determination.
