Founded in 2013 by Chicago musician Mike Reed, Constellation has transformed the cultural landscape of Chicago by providing a premier platform for jazz, improvised, experimental, and contemporary classical music. Located in the former Viaduct Theater, this venue has become a vital resource for artists across various disciplines, including visual art, film, literature, and dance.

Impact on the Community

Each year, Constellation hosts over 600 musicians through more than 220 concerts, fostering collaborations with artists from around the globe. The venue is a cornerstone of the contemporary music scene, highlighted by the weekly Frequency Series and the annual Frequency Festival.
