Our Story
Connections Learning Center is the culmination of over 20 years of dedication to the Autism community. Founded by Rachel Maeroff, who has worked extensively in homes, schools, and private centers, CLC emerged from a profound realization about the potential of non-speaking and unreliably speaking Autistic individuals. In 2017, Rachel discovered the transformative concepts of presuming competence and Spelling to Communicate, which reshaped her approach to education. This journey, enriched by her involvement in the disability rights community, led to the establishment of Connections Learning Center. CLC is devoted to fostering an environment where every individual is recognized for their capabilities, focusing on purposeful motor skills and sensory regulation to facilitate communication.
