About Connections to Independence
Connections to Independence (C2i) began as a program of Summit Academy OIC in 2002, aimed at supporting youth in foster care. Established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2010, C2i is dedicated to helping young people aged 14-24 navigate the challenges of transitioning to adulthood. Located in the Sabathani Community Center in South Minneapolis, C2i focuses on empowering youth of color who have experienced foster care.
