Our Story

The Connecticut Sikh Association was founded in 1993, emerging from a small gathering of Sikh families in 1986. This community recognized the need for a formal organization to hold regular prayer services, leading to the establishment of Gurdwara Guru Nanak Darbar in 1996. Despite challenges, including a devastating fire in 1998, the community has shown resilience and growth, culminating in the completion of a new Gurdwara building in 2011.

Our Impact

Through its initiatives, the Connecticut Sikh Association has created a welcoming space for worship, education, and community service, while actively engaging with the broader local community.
