Our Story

The Connecticut Burns Care Foundation was founded in 1978 by Dr. Andrew J. Panettieri and firefighter Arthur C. Luf to support burn survivors and establish a dedicated burn center at Bridgeport Hospital. Over the years, the foundation has expanded its mission to include funding for burn care, fire safety education, and the creation of the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp, a nurturing environment for young burn survivors.

Impact

Through its initiatives, the foundation has successfully established the Arthur C. Luf Children’s Burn Camp, providing a free camping experience for severely burned children. This camp helps participants build self-esteem and confidence while engaging in various therapeutic activities.

Why Donate?
