Empowering Communities Through Faith and Action
Congregations Organized for Prophetic Engagement (COPE) is a faith-based organization founded in 2000 by a dedicated group of pastors. Located in the Inland Empire, COPE focuses on training and developing the capacity of religious and lay leaders to protect and revitalize their communities. The organization emerged from a listening campaign with African American clergy and community outreach ministries in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, aiming for meaningful change.
As an affiliate of the Regional Congregations and Neighborhood Organizations (RCNO), COPE is committed to building the capacity of small- to mid-sized African American congregations and community organizations. Through leadership training, community organizing, and innovative programs, COPE empowers individuals to engage in public policy initiatives that foster program innovations and strengthen communities.
