Our Story

The roots of Concordia Hospice of Washington can be traced back to Rev. Dr. J. E. Victor Carlson, who helped create Hospice Care, Inc. in Greene County in the late 1970s. Through partnerships and expansions, including a merger with Washington Hospital in 1996, the organization evolved into Concordia Hospice of Washington in 2016. This nonprofit is dedicated to providing quality hospice care in homes and at the Donnell House, focusing on compassion and support for patients and their families.
