Our Story
Concordia Christian Academy has a rich history dating back to 1899, when it began as Zion Lutheran School in North Tacoma. For 40 years, it served the community under the guidance of the congregation. In 1939, the Concordia Lutheran School Association was formed, expanding its reach to families in the Parkland area. The school moved to its current campus in 1948, where it has flourished on a 7.5-acre site with four dedicated buildings. In 2002, the establishment of Mount Rainier Lutheran High School completed the K-12 educational experience. In 2017, both schools rebranded and formed an independent non-profit under the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod, now serving nearly 200 children on a combined campus.
