Our Story

Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue was founded by Elizabeth Regensburger, who was moved to action after witnessing the heartbreaking euthanasia of healthy, adoptable animals. Denied the chance to volunteer at a shelter due to her strong beliefs against euthanasia, she rallied fellow animal lovers to save red-listed animals, leading to the establishment of this nonprofit organization.

Our Impact

Since its inception, Concerned Citizens Animal Rescue has raised thousands of dollars and successfully rehomed thousands of dogs, significantly improving the lives of homeless animals in Los Angeles.
