Our Story
Compassionate Ministries of Jackson County began in the late 1980s with dedicated volunteers from First Church of the Nazarene. Initially selling homemade baked goods to assist church attendees, this initiative blossomed into a broader mission to serve the entire community. Notable efforts include a community-wide Thanksgiving dinner and the establishment of a food pantry in 2003. Officially recognized as a 501(c)(3) in 2012, CMJC emphasizes compassion and transformation through partnerships with local organizations and churches.
