Our Story

Founded in 1994 by Teela A. Mickles, Compassion In Action Inc. serves individuals confined in the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services and their families. With a mission to embrace individuals, rebuild families, and break the cycle of incarceration, the organization has made significant strides in community service.

Impact

During the pandemic, Compassion In Action Inc. expanded its services, increasing participant numbers from 35 to 165 and providing a community food pantry for families in need. The organization connects societal dots to assist in the recovery of families affected by incarceration.
