Our Story
Founded in 1997 by Dr. Dave Hungerford, an orthopedic surgeon from Johns Hopkins Medical Center, the Disabled Children’s Fund (DCF) began as a fellowship of volunteer orthopedic healthcare providers. The mission was to share God’s love through orthopedic services to underprivileged children worldwide. Over the years, DCF has expanded its reach, partnering with local organizations to provide comprehensive services to disabled children and their families in impoverished circumstances.
Impact
Each year, DCF significantly improves the lives of disabled children by providing medical treatment, mobility devices, and physical therapy programs at no charge. These services enhance mobility and quality of life for children in need across the globe.
