The story of Compass Housing Alliance began in 1920, when Rev. Otto and Mrs. Alva Karlstrom founded the Lutheran Sailors and Loggers Mission in Pioneer Square. Over the decades, the name has evolved, but the mission remains steadfast: to provide a welcoming space for those in need. Today, Compass Housing Alliance stands as a leading provider and developer of essential services and affordable housing for low-income individuals, families, and veterans in the Puget Sound region.
