Our Story

Founded in 1978 by Zoe Bradford and Jordie Saucerman, The Company Theatre began its journey in a church basement with a mere $50. The first production, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, marked the start of a vibrant community hub for the performing arts. Over the years, the theatre has expanded, moving to larger venues and producing beloved shows like Peter Pan and Grease. In 1992, the purchase of a theatre complex in Norwell solidified its presence, allowing for eight annual productions and over 70 classes in performing and visual arts.

Impact on the Community

The Company Theatre has significantly enriched the South Shore community by delivering high-quality theatrical productions and educational programs. Many alumni have successfully transitioned to professional performances on Broadway and national tours, reflecting the theatre's dedication to artistic excellence.
