Companion Animal Medical Project (CAMP) is a grassroots nonprofit organization established in 2020 in Central Oregon, dedicated to providing free veterinary care to the unhoused population. This initiative emphasizes the importance of the human-animal bond and the need for accessible veterinary services for those facing financial hardships.
Since its inception, CAMP has distributed over 15,000 pounds of pet food, financially covered 165+ critical-care cases, spayed and neutered 446 animals, and administered 2,180 vaccinations, significantly improving the lives of pets and their owners in the community.
Donations allow CAMP to continue serving the community’s unsheltered pets and people, ensuring that both humans and their companion animals have access to basic needs and veterinary care, which is crucial for maintaining the human-animal bond.
