Our Story
Founded in 2009 by Robert Arsenault and Bethany Sousa, the Community String Project began with a vision to make music education accessible to all. Inspired by the El Sistema model, the program started offering affordable violin lessons and has since expanded to serve students in Bristol and Warren public schools.
Impact on the Community
Today, the Community String Project proudly serves 100 students, with 38% receiving free instruction. This initiative has not only enhanced musical skills but also fostered a sense of community among youth and adults alike.
