Our Story
Community Solidarity, Inc. began its journey in 2011, rooted in the Food Not Bombs movement that started in Hempstead in 2006. This grassroots initiative has blossomed into a powerful nonprofit dedicated to ending hunger, poverty, and homelessness through community empowerment.
Impact
In 2019 alone, Community Solidarity provided over $26 million in assistance, serving more than 6,500 individuals weekly. The organization rescued millions of pounds of food from waste, ensuring that nutritious groceries reach those in need.
