Our Story

Community Partnership for Youth (CPY) was established in 1991 as a grassroots initiative in response to the tragic loss of a promising student-athlete, Ramon Avila. This tragedy galvanized local leaders to address the rising crime rates affecting vulnerable children and youth in Seaside, California. Recognizing that prevention starts early, CPY was founded to provide safe, supervised environments for at-risk youth, particularly during the critical hours between 2 PM and 6 PM when they are most susceptible to violence and crime.

Our Impact

CPY serves hundreds of children and young people in Monterey County, offering programs that empower them to make positive life choices. Through community support, CPY continues to thrive and expand its reach.
