Community Partners of Tarrant County: A Legacy of Care

Founded in the late 1970s as Kash for Kids, Community Partners of Tarrant County has dedicated itself to improving the lives of abused and neglected children. Initially focused on providing Christmas gifts for foster children, the organization has evolved significantly over the decades. By the mid-1980s, it expanded its mission to address a broader range of needs, including educational support and extracurricular activities.

In 1990, the nonprofit began assisting children living at home with parents involved with Child Protective Services (CPS). The establishment of the Rainbow Room in the same year marked a pivotal moment, providing essential resources like diapers, food, and formula to families in crisis. With the opening of the Arlington Rainbow Room in 1997, the organization further solidified its commitment to community support.
