Community Outreach and Development CDC: A Legacy of Service
Founded by the late Apostle Ralph E. Green and Senior Pastor Shirley Green of Free Gospel Church, Community Outreach and Development CDC has been a beacon of hope in Prince George’s County since 2000. The organization emerged from a rich history of community leadership that began in 1962, when the Greens dedicated their lives to uplifting those around them. In 1985, they took a significant step by purchasing the Green Hill Plaza shopping center, which became a hub for economic development, supporting small businesses and creating job opportunities.
After a period of decline following Apostle Green's illness in 1997, the nonprofit was revitalized in 2007, reigniting the vision of its founders. Today, Green Hill Plaza stands as a vibrant service center, providing essential resources to those in need. The organization connects individuals and families with emergency food, financial aid, and health services, ensuring that no one in the community is left behind.
