Our Story
In the summer of 2016, a group of Chatham County faith leaders and concerned citizens came together to address the rising tide of racial violence in the United States. Inspired by the PBS film series RACE, they initiated discussions on confronting racism and discrimination faced by Black, Indigenous, and People of Color. This grassroots movement led to the formation of Chatham Organizing for Racial Equity (CORE), dedicated to fostering unity and understanding within the community.
