Our Story

The Jarrell Community Library and Resource Center was born from the vision of a fourth grader, Hayley Warren, who saw the need for a local library in Jarrell, Texas. In 2014, she took the initiative to write to the City Council, advocating for a library that would serve her community. This grassroots effort led to the establishment of a bank account funded by her fundraising efforts. Over the next five years, the library evolved into a registered non-profit, formed a dedicated board of directors, and engaged community volunteers to gather resources and establish the library. Officially opened in May 2019, the library has become a cornerstone for learning and community engagement.
