Founded in 1979, Community Housing and Resources, Inc. (CHR) addresses the critical need for affordable housing in the Sanibel and Captiva area. As the City of Sanibel’s housing foundation, CHR owns 76 affordable housing units, including rental properties and Limited Equity Ownership homes, ensuring that local families and service workers have a place to call home.
